BJP’s Bengal bandh in protest against Bengal government’s action against students

Kolkata| In West Bengal, the fight has now landed on the streets demanding justice for the lady doctor and resignation of CM Mamata Banerjee. BJP has announced Bengal bandh against the action of CM Mamata’s police on the student’s protest. The Bharat Bandh protest began from 6 am and will continue till 6 pm. BJP leaders and workers are protesting against the Mamata government across Bengal. BJP demands that the release of arrested students unconditionally. On Tuesday too, BJP leaders were on strike against the lathi charge on students. The police resorted to lathicharge and when the workers tried to remove the barricades, tear gas shells were fired at the BJP workers. The conflict between BJP workers and the police continued for hours. BJP President JP Nadda has termed this action of Mamata government as dictatorship. Meanwhile, the Governor of West Bengal has called the student’s protest with tricolor as an insult to the national flag. It has also been said that nothing can be worse than what the police did to the protesters demanding justice for the lady doctor.

TMC workers also stopped the train between Bangaon-Sealdah and raised slogans in protest against the BJP bandh. At the same time, there was a fierce fight between BJP and TMC workers in Nadia. After lathicharge on protesters demanding justice in Kolkata, police have now released photos. Kolkata Police has issued some photos from social media handles and appealed for identification.
