Biz Update: Capital of top eight companies increased by 1.55 lakh crore; sales of 34,985 crore in 26 real estate companies

New Delhi|The capital of the top 8 companies listed on the stock market rose by 1.55 lakh crore last week. During this period, BSE Sensex rose by 1,537 points to cross 79,000. Among the top 10 companies, HDFC Bank’s capital increased by a maximum of Rs 40,393 crore to Rs 13.34 lakh crore. TCS capital increased by 36,036 crore to reach 15.36 lakh crore. ICICI Bank’s capital gained 16,266 crore, while HUL’s capital gained 13,239 crore. ITC increased by 11,509 crore and Airtel by 11,260 crore.

The 26 big companies listed on the stock market have made sales of Rs 34,985 crore in the second quarter. Most of the bookings have been done for residential projects. Godrej Properties has topped with 5,198 crore. Macrotech came second with 4,290 crore.

Patanjali Ayurveda’s revenue has increased by 23 per cent to Rs 9,335 crore in FY 2023-24. This jump in the company’s revenue has come due to the merger of Patanjali Foods with Ayurveda. Total profit has increased 5 times to Rs 2,901 crore|
