Another attack in Bahraich: Wolf attack kills 2-year-old girl child, injures elderly woman

Bahraich| An incidence of other wolf attack was caught at Hardi police station area on Sunday night. Anjali (2), who was sleeping in the room with her mother in Majra Navvan Garethi of Gram Panchayat Garethi Gurdatt Singh, was attacked at around 4 am in the morning. The wolf caught Anjali lying with mother Meenu and ran towards the sugarcane. Hearing the noise, mother Meenu opened her eyes and chased her making noise. But taking advantage of the darkness the wolf ran away. When the forest team reached the spot after receiving the information and started searching with drone cameras, the girl’s body was found lying at a distance of one km from the village. As soon as the dead body was seen, there was chaos among the family members and a large crowd of villagers gathered at the spot.

The series of rapid attacks by wolves continues in Hardi police station area. On Saturday night, the wolf attacked and seriously injured Paras (7) lying with his mother. After this he was admitted to CHC. At the same time, the wolf also attacked Kunnu Lal (55) early on Sunday. Kunnu’s life was saved due to the arrival of her family members. Kunnu has also been admitted to the hospital. On receiving information about the attack, top officials including DFO, SDM, CO reached the village and investigated. Panic has increased once again after the attack. The wolves have so far killed ten people and injured 31. The forest department has caught four wolves.
