New Delhi| E-auction of industrial land, shops, vehicles and other commercial properties including agricultural and non-agricultural land will be held on a portal. For this, the government has introduced a new ‘banknet’ portal, where all the information will be available at one place. More than 1.22 lakh properties have been transferred to the new portal for e-auction.

Finance Ministry said, ‘BankNet’ portal collects information from all public sector banks about e-auctioned assets. By collecting details of all these properties at one place, this portal makes the process of collecting and joining information about their e-auction easier. Financial Services Department Secretary M Nagaraju said, the launch of the portal will help in recovery of dues of public sector banks.

Advanced features have been added to the new portal. It will have facilities like automated and integrated payment gateway, KYC tool, dashboard for expenditure analysis and various reports at one click.
