Uttar Pradesh by-election: 9.67 percent turnout till nine

Lucknow|Voting is underway for nine seats in Uttar Pradesh. As of nine o’clock, 9.67 percent voting has taken place. According to the Election Commission, Kundarki seat of Moradabad has the highest turnout of 13.59 percent till nine o’clock. At the same time, Ghaziabad seat has the lowest number of votes cast at 5.36 percent. According to the information received from the Election Commission, 13.01 percent voting took place in Meerapur, 13.59, Ghaziabad 5.36, Khair 9.03, Karhal 9.67, Sisamau 5.73, Phulpur 8.83, Katehri 11.48, Manjavan 10.55 percent.

Samajwadi Party national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav said, “Honestly BJP cannot win even a single seat”. Law and order has collapsed. Everyone is sad due to the policies of partition. Everyone suffers loss in unrest. The trend is in favor of Samajwadi Party.

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party complained to the Election Commission through social media. SP appealed to the Election Commission and said that fair voting should be ensured. Voters are being prevented from casting their votes by the police at Hamim College in Ward 71 of Sisamau Assembly, Kanpur. Election Commission should take cognizance, fair voting should be ensured.

Voting is going on in Meerapur, Kundarki, Ghaziabad, Khair (Aja.), Karhal, Sisamau, Phulpur, Katehari and Majhwan seats for by-elections on nine assembly seats in the state. A total of 90 candidates are in the fray for nine seats, whose fate will be decided. The Election Commission has made extensive preparations for voting. Voters are exercising their franchise amid tight security arrangements.

Along with these by-elections, voting is also being held in the assembly elections of Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Voting is to be held today in the second phase in Jharkhand and in the same phase in Maharashtra. The by-election and the results of the election will be announced on 23 November.
