Yogi government to organize ‘Shakti Mahotsav’ at 16 Shaktipeeth sites in UP

Lucknow| The Uttar Pradesh government has announced to organize ‘Shakti Mahotsav’ at 16 Shaktipeeths in the state. This festival will be celebrated on Saptami and Ashtami Tithi, in which emphasis will be laid on promoting women’s safety, respect and self-reliance.
This festival is being organized under Mission Shakti-5.0, in which priority will be given to women artists. Under this, various spiritual programs will be organized to offer homage at the feet of the Mother Goddess.

Special events will be organized in the famous Shaktipeeths of the state like Maa Pateshwari Temple Devipatan, Shitala Mata Temple Mainpuri, Gorakhnath Temple, Maa Vindhyavasini Shaktipeeth Vindhyachal, Shitala Chaukia Dham Jaunpur, Kuda Dham Fatehpur etc. The objective is to promote devotion and devotion to Mother Jagatjanani. The events of Kumbh and Navadurga will be included in all the programs, in which street plays based on women empowerment will also be presented.

Under the spirit of Mission Shakti, various tableau presentations will be organized in the festival. Artists like Shefali Pandey and Ayushi Raj in Devipatan, Shalini Sharma in Mainpuri, Pooja Upadhyay in Firozabad, Abhilasha Sharma in Jhansi, Seema Morwal in Vrindavan etc. will perform at their respective places.

Artists like Akash Dwivedi in Mainpuri, Rakesh Srivastava in Gorakhpur, Ganesh Pathak in Varanasi etc. will also be presented.

Also, a special tableau based on nine goddesses will be brought out. Folk artists of the state will infuse spiritual energy through Devi songs and folk dances. Yogi government’s emphasis is on the safety, respect and self-reliance of women through Mission Shakti.

The Culture Department’s emphasis is on ‘Mission Shakti’ in the spiritual and cultural events to be held in Shakti Mahotsav.

Yogi government has not only tried to promote religious and cultural unity through this festival, but has also promised to give a new direction to women empowerment. The aim of the government is to give women the opportunity to recognize their role in the society and empower them.
