Mayawati’s reply to Akhilesh, said- ‘How appropriate is it to give clarification after so many years?’
Lucknow| Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has again cornered Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on the issue of breaking the alliance. She said how appropriate it is to give clarification now after so many years.
Former Uttar Pradesh CM Mayawati made several posts on social media platform X on Friday. Mayawati said, “In the Lok Sabha Elections-2019, regarding the break of the alliance after BSP won 10 seats and SP won 5 seats in UP, I publicly said that the SP chief had stopped answering my phone also, regarding which how appropriate and reliable is it for him to give clarification now after so many years? Thing to think.”
Mayawati further said, “BSP does not form an alliance for ideological reasons and if it ever forms an alliance for big objectives, then it is definitely honest towards it”. Every effort was made to maintain the alliance signed with SP in 1993 and 2019, but the interest and self-respect of ‘Bahujan Samaj’ is paramount.
She further said, “BSP is against casteist narrow politics. Therefore, there is a movement to create political power by creating mutual brotherhood in the ‘Bahujan Samaj’ by moving away from forming alliances in a hurry for electoral interests so that Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s mission is to become self-reliant by getting the master key to power.
A booklet is being distributed by Bahujan Samaj Party to its officials and workers, in which Mayawati has told that after the results of Lok Sabha elections, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav had stopped picking up phones, due to which the alliance was broken.
On this, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, while replying to Mayawati’s allegations to the journalists, said that she is making allegations to hide her shortcomings. He said that the day the alliance with BSP broke, people from both the parties were on the public platform in Azamgarh. I was also there, no one knew that the alliance broke. I myself wanted to call and ask why did you do this? Sometimes some things are said to hide one’s point.
Mayawati cited the reason for breaking the alliance with Akhilesh Yadav. In the booklet, Mayawati has said that SP got five seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Whereas BSP got 10 seats. He said that this was the big reason why senior SP leaders had stopped picking up phones. In the booklet, Mayawati has given the reason for breaking the alliance with SP twice.
