New Delhi| The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has pledged one crore rupees to assist the families of the victims of the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir on April 22, 2025. 26 people had lost their lives in this attack. After this incident, a wave of mourning and anger ran across the country. NSE MD and CEO Ashish Kumar Chauhan expressed deep grief over the incident on social media and announced assistance.

NSE has taken this step after India took strict action against the terrorist attack in Pahalam district of Kashmir. The Indian government has suspended the 1960 Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan in protest against giving protection to terrorists after this cowardly action. Along with this, the integrated check post in the attic has also been closed. Only those who have a valid visa are allowed to return via said route until May 1, 2025.
Additionally, Pakistani citizens will no longer be allowed to enter India under the SAARC Visa Waiver Scheme (SVES). Any SVES visas issued earlier will also be cancelled. Pakistani nationals currently living in India have been given 48 hours to exit the country. India is also recalling its respective advisors from the High Commission in Islamabad. Also, five support staff from both missions will be recalled. At the same time, by May 1, 2025, the total number of people working in both High Commissions will be reduced from the current 55 to 30 members.
