Yogi government to buy 120 electric buses, operation to be implemented on various routes
Lucknow| Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh will buy 120 electric buses. It will operate in Lucknow, Aligarh, Moradabad, Ayodhya and Gorakhpur areas. The process of induction of 120 electric buses (in addition to 100) in the fleet of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation is going on at a fast pace on the instructions of Yogi government. Soon the tender process will be started by the department. These buses will be operated in Aligarh, Moradabad, Lucknow, Ayodhya and Gorakhpur areas. Electric buses will be equipped with convenient, state-of-the-art equipment. 30 electric buses each will be operated in Aligarh-Moradabad region, 20 electric buses each in Lucknow, Ayodhya and Gorakhpur region.
According to Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh, four buses will operate in Aligarh region on Aligarh-Noida via Jewar 10, Aligarh-Balabagar-Faridabad four, Aligarh-Mathura four, Aligarh-Kaushambi via Khurja eight, Aligarh-Dibai-Anupshahr-Sambhal-Moradabad route. Similarly, a total of 30 electric buses will be operated in Moradabad area. 10 electric buses will be operated on Moradabad-Kaushambi route, six on Moradabad-Meerut route, four on Moradabad-Najibabad Kotwar route, two on Katghar-Bareilly route, four on Katghar-Haldwani route, two on Katghar-Aligarh route and two on Katghar-Ramnagar route
20 electric buses will be operated on the New Barabanki Station-Awadh Bus Station route in Lucknow region. Similarly, in Ayodhya area, four buses will be operated on Ayodhya-Lucknow route, four on Ayodhya-Gorakhpur route, six on Ayodhya-Prayagraj-Gonda route and six on Ayodhya-Sultanpur-Varanasi route. 20 electric buses will also be operated in the Ayodhya area.
A total of 20 electric buses will also be operated in Gorakhpur region. Three on Gorakhpur-Azamgarh-Varanasi route, three on Gorakhpur-Ghazipur-Varanasi route, four on Gorakhpur-Ayodhya route, four on Gorakhpur-Sonauli route, two on Gorakhpur-Mahrajganj-Thuthibari route, one on Gorakhpur-Siddharthnagar, Gorakhpur-Padrauna route. One electric buses each and two on Gorakhpur-Tamkuhi route will be operated.
