Yogi government formed Cow Service Commission, Shyam Bihari Gupta appointed as the president

Lucknow| Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has constituted Cow Service Commission. Shyam Bihari Gupta, resident of Jhansi district of UP, has been made its president. Along with this, Mahesh Kumar Shukla of Basti district and Jaswant Singh alias Atul Singh of Kushinagar district have been made the vice-chairs of the commission. Deepak Goyal, resident of Moradabad district, Ramakant Upadhyay of Firozabad district and Rajesh Singh Sengar of Mahoba district have been named members of the commission.

Principal Secretary of Livestock Department K. Ravindra Nayak on Monday approved the formation of Cow Service Commission and issued appointment orders. BJP leaders and workers have been accommodated in the formation of the commission.

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) Commission was constituted. Former MLA Baijnath Rawat was made its president. Former MLAs Bechan Ram and Jeet Singh Kharwar were appointed vice-chairs of the commission.

Baijnath Rawat of Barabanki belongs to Scheduled Caste. Rawat, who made his mark as a dedicated worker of BJP, has held the responsibility of MLA thrice, MP once and Minister of State for Power in the UP government. His appointment is being seen as an effort to connect the Scheduled Castes with the party.
