WhatsApp to make more than 20 thousand businesses digitally literate

New Delhi| WhatsApp is connecting with small shopkeepers and small-medium businesses of the country to further strengthen its business in India. For this, WhatsApp has introduced the facility of meta verified app for all small businesses in the country. Meta Varify BlueBatch facility has also been introduced for new businessmen joining this app. Under this, traders can take this meta bluebatch by giving their personal and business information. Apart from this, a new feature with customized messages has also been started for small businessmen on the WhatsApp Business app itself, in which businessmen will be able to send messages to their customers as per their needs.
WhatsApp will soon start a business journey in 10 small and semi-urban cities of the country to make them digitally literate for how to expand their business on WhatsApp and digital platforms. The festive season is starting in the country, in view of which the company has introduced new apps and new features. Sandhya Devanae, Vice President, WhatsApp, said that WhatsApp announced the launch of several new features and updates that will help businesses across the country better connect with their customers and improve their operations ahead of the upcoming festive season. These features will help small businessmen to expand their business and also get investment.
Ravi Garg, Business Message Director, Meta India, said that lakhs of small businesses in the country are using WhatsApp Business App, to make their business reliable, we have started Meta Verified Business App, in this the businesses which subscribe with Meta Varified. And those who want to show their authenticity will be given a batch. This batch will provide protection from fake identity and businessmen will also get the facility of account support and premium features. He said that this feature will enhance their brand online and facilitate better chat with customers. In which they can give complete information about their catalog and their products to the customers.
Garg said, ‘We have introduced a new feature in the WhatsApp Business app for small businesses to send customized messages. In this, businessmen will be able to send messages to their customers as per their needs. In this they will be able to send information to their customers like birthday wishes, sale, holiday sale. Businessmen will have to pay a fee of Rs 639 to use these new feature, which lets businesses send personalized messages, as well as call-to-action buttons, according to the customer’s name and need. Additionally, this feature will also give businesses the option to schedule the day and time of sending messages.’
Garg explained that WhatsApp will launch the “WatsApp Business Journey” in 10 Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities of the country to connect with small businesses in the country and make them truly digitally literate. In which we will personally train more than 20 thousand small businessmen. We believe that with the right digital skills (literate), small businesses can grow India’s digital economy rapidly. In this initiative, we will teach small businesses how to create a WhatsApp account, create a product catalog, and set up ads so customers can come directly to WhatsApp, and we will also create a resource center on a website that will provide easy and instant access to these businesses. There will be a center of tutorials to be used. With the beginning of the festive season in the country, these new updates will be very helpful for small businessmen to increase sales, take full advantage of festivals and through that expand their business.
