Water throngs Assembly complex as torrential rain hits Lucknow
Lucknow|Heavy rain lashed the state’s capital on Wednesday causing waterlogging in many parts of the city. Due to rainfall, UP Assembly complex was flooded with the water. Many vehicles was seen drowned on the roads of Hazratganj. The Meteorological Department had issued an alert regarding rain. People were appealed not to leave their homes.
The budget session of UP Assembly is under progress. Meanwhile, the problems of MLAs and employees increased due to water logging in the assembly premises. The entire rooms of the ground floor of the assembly was filled with water. Many items were too drenched in the rain water. Rain water was also seen dripping from the roofs of the assembly. SP leader Shivpal Singh Yadav took a dig at the waterlogging in the UP Assembly premises. While sharing the video of waterlogging, he wrote on ‘X’, “Uttar Pradesh Assembly needs the budget the most, this is the situation in torrential rain, so the rest of the state is dependent on God…”
