UP: The second phase of computer training scheme to start soon

Lucknow| Another important step has been taken by the Yogi government towards making the unemployed young men and women of backward classes of the state empowered and self-reliant. Phase II of the Computer Training Scheme is being launched under the financial year 2024-25. Under this scheme, ‘O’ level and Triple C’ computer training will be provided, with this the youth of backward classes will be able to get better employment opportunities in the digital age.
Narendra Kashyap, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Class Welfare and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities of the Yogi government, said that it is the effort of the government to make the youth of backward classes employable by providing them technical skills. Through computer training, young men and women will be able to improve their abilities, so that they can become self-reliant and economically empowered in the society.
He said that the objective of this training program is to promote digital literacy and prepare the youth in line with global technical standards.
Director of Backward Classes Welfare Department, Dr. Vandana Verma said that this training is for those unemployed youth from backward classes who have passed the intermediate examination and whose parents’ annual income is up to Rs 1 lakh. Applicants can apply online from 10 October 2024 to 30 October 2024. Application can be made by visiting the official website of Backward Class Welfare Department or computer training portal. Eligible candidates will be selected after scrutiny and verification of applications received at the district level.
The process will be completed from 25 October to 14 November. The training of selected candidates will begin on 15 November.
