UP: Clash between teacher recruitment candidates and police in Lucknow

Lucknow: Teacher recruitment candidates have created a huge ruckus in Lucknow, UP and during this time they have also clashed with the police. The protesters have gathered outside the house of Deputy CM Keshav Maurya.Thousands of teacher candidates have reached the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and are protesting. Teacher candidates are continuously raising slogans. Slogans of ‘Yogi ji do justice, Keshav uncle do justice’ are being raised by them.

A large number of police forces have been deployed at the spot. This demonstration is being held outside the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya demanding appointment in the 69, 000 teacher recruitment case and following the order of the High Court Lucknow Double Bench. The matter of recruitment of 69,000 teachers in UP is gaining momentum. Recently, reserved category candidates of 9000 teacher recruitment had met Director General School Education Kanchan Verma and Joint Director Ganesh Kumar. The reserved category candidates of 69000 teacher recruitment meeting the authorities were disappointed. After this they had announced  the protest outside the CM residence.

Under the leadership of Vijay Yadav, who filed the petition, Virendra Veer, Amarendra Patel, Yashwant Kumar, Krishna Chandra and Avnish Kumar met the officers of the Basic Education Department and reiterated the demand to implement the decision of the High Court and the case pending in the Supreme Court. Talking about this, Vijay Yadav had said that both the officers had nothing to tell nor do they have any concrete plan, so that the underprivileged can be provided jobs and the jobs of those who have got jobs can be protected. After this, the candidates dissatisfied with the meeting had talked about surrounding the Chief Minister’s residence on 2 September.
