UP Assembly: Second supplementary budget of Rs 17,865.72 crore presented
Lucknow| On the second day of the winter session of the Legislature, the state government presented a second supplementary budget of Rs 17 thousand 865.72 crore. During this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present. Uttar Pradesh government’s Finance Minister Suresh Khanna on Tuesday presented the second supplementary budget of Rs 17 thousand 865.72 crore. The original budget is 2.42 percent of 7 lakh 36 thousand 437.71 crore. It has new proposals worth 790.49 crore. In this, the budget was allocated the most to agriculture and industry.
Before this, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, in response to a question in the Assembly, said that all the women sitting are our sisters and daughters. Crime has reduced due to the strictness of Yogi government.
He said that the government got the punishment done quickly. This has never happened before. The POCSO Act saw 415 convictions in 2017. In 2023, 2,841 offenders were sentenced. This year, 2,440 offenders were sentenced. Murder has decreased by 48.57 percent.
In the Legislative Assembly, Machhilishahar MLA Ragini Sonkar taunted in a poetic manner, “It is shameful that work is not being done”. People are thirsty, not even being given hand pumps.”
