Lucknow| The unused land of government inter and high school colleges of Uttar Pradesh can now be used for extra-curricular activities of students. Other departments will be able to open mini stadiums, play grounds, garden nurseries etc. on this land with their investment. At the same time, the income will be given in half to the concerned department and school. The Cabinet approved the proposal of the Secondary Education Department related to the same on Tuesday.
According to the proposal, encroachment is taking place on the vacant lands of Government High School and Inter Colleges. Therefore, it was decided that useful work and activities should be organized for the students from other departments or on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. On one hand, this will manage the income for the organization and the land will also be utilized properly. Now mini stadium, digital library, online examination center, vocational center, play school, auditorium, nursery etc. can be started on the vacant land. Necessary guidelines for this will be decided by the district level committee. There will be a meeting of the inter-departmental committee under the chairmanship of DM. This will generate 50 per cent of the income of both departments. School children will be able to use the things made here for free.
