Ingredients for making potato halwa
Potatoes – 500 grams
Sugar – 200g
Milk – 1 cup
Ghee – 50g
Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Almonds – 10-12, chopped
Cashews – 10-12, chopped
Pistachios – 10-12, chopped

Method of making potato halwa

Boil potatoes: Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces. Boil water in a vessel and put the potato pieces in it. Boil them until they become soft. Take out the potatoes and let them cool.
Mash the potatoes: Put the cold potatoes in a large pot and mash them well with a mashing tool. The potato mixture should be smooth and thick.
Mix sugar and milk: Add sugar and milk to the mashed potatoes. Mix well so that sugar and milk are evenly divided into potatoes.
Add ghee: Add ghee in the vessel and heat it on medium flame. When the ghee melts, add the potato mixture to it.
Cook: Cook the potato mixture until it thickens and the sugar melts. Keep stirring continuously so that the mixture does not burn.
Mix cardamom powder and dry fruits: When potato halwa becomes thick, add cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits. Mix well.
Keep in the refrigerator: Take out the potato halwa in a vessel and let it cool. When the pudding cools down, cover it and keep it in the refrigerator.
