New Delhi|The Supreme Court constituted an independent SIT in the Prasadam case of Tirupati Balaji Temple. Now this entire matter will not be investigated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Andhra Pradesh State Government. According to the court, this is a matter related to public sentiments, hence there should be no politics regarding it.

A bench headed by Justice BR Gavai said the independent SIT will include two CBI officers, two Andhra Pradesh Police officers and an officer from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. The investigation will be monitored by the CBI Director, who will ensure that the investigation is conducted in a fair and transparent manner.

During the hearing, the Supreme Court said, “We do not want this to become a political drama”. This is a matter related to the sentiments of crores of people around the world. Luckily or unfortunately, it involves both sides.”

Let us tell you that Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu had recently claimed that Prasadam was adulterated during the era of former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.

In the revelations made in the report of the Center for Analysis and Learning in Live Stock and Food Lab under the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), it was revealed that animal fat was being used in the Prasad offered to the Lord in the Tirupati temple.

The NDDB report revealed that animal fat and fish oil were used in the prasad offered to the Lord at the Tirupati temple. It was claimed that all this was used in the ghee which is used to make Prasad. This Prasad was not only offered to the Lord but was also distributed on a large scale among the devotees.
