Most of the people like to make and eat rice kheer in sweets. Actually, kheer is such a sweet dish which is made on almost every auspicious occasion. Be it puja, festival or any guest coming to the house! But, many times people face difficulty in cooking rice kheer.

In such a situation, today we bring you a wonderful recipe of coconut kheer. Let us tell you, this dish is not made from rice but from coconut. This coconut kheer is so delicious in taste that if you eat it once, you will demand to eat it again and again. Let us tell you the recipe of cooking this coconut kheer.

Ingredients for making coconut kheer:

Coconut – 1 piece, half cup almonds, half cup cashews, half cup raisins, milk – 2 litres, sugar – 1 cup, cardamom powder – 1 tablespoon

 

Method of making coconut kheer:

Step 1: To make coconut kheer, first take a fresh coconut and break it into small pieces. Now remove the black coconut peel thoroughly. After that, to get the coconut cleaned, wash it and grate it.

Step 2: Turn on the gas and put 2 liters of milk in a vessel to heat. While the milk is heating, finely cut half a cup of almonds, half a cup of cashew nuts, half a cup of raisins and turn on the gas and fry these dry fruits in desi ghee.

Step 3: When the milk is well heated, add grated coconut to it and stir well. Keep in mind that the gas flame should not be too strong. Can stick in coconut pan on sharp flame. After 15 minutes, add roasted dry fruits.

Step 4: Keep stirring coconut and dry fruits continuously in milk. After a few hours, when the milk becomes thick, add 1 teaspoon cardamom powder and 1 cup sugar. Turn off the gas after some time. Your coconut kheer is ready.
