Sour chutney of jaggery and tomato will make you healthy in winter

The jaggery present in it provides heat from inside the body and protects from diseases. Also, its sweet and sour taste doubles the taste of your food. You can also make this delicious chutney at home, as it is very easy to make. Let us tell you the easy recipe to make jaggery tomato chutney for winter.

Ingredients for making chutney
1. 4 medium, finely chopped tomatoes
2. 3-4 tablespoons (as per taste) molasses
3. 1 tablespoon mustard oil
4. 1 tsp mustard seeds (rye)
5. A pinch of asafoetida
6. 8-10 Curry Leaf
7. 2 finely chopped green chillies
8. ½ tsp red chilli powder (optional)
9. ¼ tsp turmeric powder
10. Salt as per taste
11. Coriander for garnish

How to make chutney

1. First of all, heat oil in a pan on medium flame. Then add mustard seeds and let them burst.
2. Instead, add a pinch of asafoetida and curry leaves to it.
3. Now add finely chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and pulpy while mixing occasionally.
4. Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt and mix well.
5. After this add jaggery to it and mix until it melts and mixes with tomatoes, creating a thick, chutney-like consistency.
6. Now cook the chutney on low flame for 5-7 minutes until the oil starts to separate and the chutney thickens.
7. After this taste the chutney and mix jaggery or salt as per taste.
8. Finally turn off the flame and garnish with freshly chopped coriander.
9. Jaggery tomato chutney is ready. Serve it with paratha, pudi, thepla or rice.
