Sales of electronic products to increase by 30 percent, demand for AI equipped higher

Lucknow| Sales of electronic products are expected to grow by 30 percent in the losing season compared to last year. Sales through offline mediums are also expected to gain momentum in the week of Dhanteras. People associated with the industry say that the demand for premium products is high during the festive season. People are willing to pay extra to buy energy efficiency, high capacity and large size TVs, freeze. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and IoT are also showing interest in technology driven products. Industry body Consumer Electronics and Equipment Manufacturers Association (SIEMA) said, sales of all categories are showing good growth.

Kamal Nandi, business head, Godrej Appliances, said, festive sales have increased due to good monsoon. During festive sales on e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart, we have achieved an impressive growth of more than 70 per cent compared to last year.

Sanjay Chitkara, senior vice president (home appliances), LG Electronics India, said demand for premium products of washing machines and fridges has increased. The special thing is that this time the demand for premium products from small city markets has also increased, which is encouraging.

Sunil Nayyar, Managing Director, Sony India, said, There is a surge in demand for TVs with big screens and especially those with big screens of 55 inches and above.
