Piyush Goyal: ‘India provides speed, scale and flexibility while maintaining culture and traditions’, said the minister
New Delhi| Union Minister Piyush Goyal expressed his opinion on India’s progress and resilience. He said that the country gives the option of speed, scale and flexibility while maintaining its culture and traditions. The Union Minister was speaking at the inaugural session of the 29th Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership Summit 2024 in Delhi.
“India is proud to be a country that provides speed, scale, resilience and determination while maintaining its culture and traditions”, Goyal said, stressing the country’s commitment to progress and innovation.
Addressing shared global challenges, Goyal called for collective responsibility towards sustainability and environmental protection. He noted that the Global South and less developed nations, while not being the primary contributors to environmental damage, are essential partners in devising a sustainable solution to it.
“A shared future and responsibility for stability, better supply chains and stable policies should be seen as common but differentiated responsibilities”, he said. We are all part of the solution, we must work together and everyone must be entrusted with responsibility based on their contribution to the problem
Goyal summarized the essence of this topic briefly using “space”, which means the beginning of a new era of collaboration. He said that ‘S’ – Synergy means One Earth, One Family, ‘P’ – Partnership talks about productive partners, peaceful co-existence, prosperity. A-alignment talks about tasks. ‘C’ – Common Good is for the common benefit of all and E is for engagement.
The 29th CII Partnership Summit has brought together 61 participating countries, 30 global speakers and 11 international ministers. Topics such as flexible supply chains, sustainability, research and development, green technology, artificial intelligence, gender equality and strategic development initiatives are under discussion. The summit aims to promote productive partnerships and global cooperation and ensure a shared vision for a sustainable and prosperous future.
