Offer coriander panjiri to Lord Vishnu on this Dev Uthani Ekadashi

Lucknow| Devuthani Ekadashi or Devthan holds great importance in Hindu religion. On this day, Lord Vishnu, the sustainer of the world, wakes up after four months from Yoga Nidra. Ingredients for making coriander panjiri
1. Coriander seeds – 2 cups
2. Sugar – 1 cup (ground)
3. Ghee – ½ cups
4. Dried fruits (almonds, cashews, raisins) – ½ cups
5. Makhana – ½ cups
6. Dried coconut – ½ cups (grated)
Method of making coriander panjiri
1. Fry coriander seeds and grind them in a mixer. Keep in mind that the powder should not be too fine.
2. Now add ghee in a pan and let it heat.
3. When the ghee becomes hot well, fry chopped cashews and almonds in it. Make sure that dry fruits do not burn.
4. Now fry the makhanas in this pan till they become crispy.
5. When the flies become slightly cold, grind them coarsely in a mixer.
6. Add ghee in the pan and fry coriander powder in it. Do not increase the flame during this period, otherwise coriander powder will burn.
7. Now add all the dry fruits to it, stir on low flame and remove from the gas.
8. After this add grated dry coconut and ground sugar.
9. Coriander Panjiri is ready to offer food to Lord Vishnu on Devuthani Ekadashi.
Keep these things in mind
1. If you have ground coriander powder, do not fry it first.
2. Keep the flame low while roasting coriander powder.
3. Coriander Panjiri can taste bitter with less roasting.
4. When the panjiri cools down a bit, then add sugar to it, otherwise the texture of the panjiri will get spoiled.
