Monsoon- Red alert in many districts of UP including Agra-Mathura.

Lucknow| The Meteorological Department predicted heavy rainfall in Agra and nearby places today. There is an alert of heavy rain in the districts of Firozabad and Mainpuri. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rain in the districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh also. This morning, Muzaffarnagar experienced heavy rainfall.

There was heavy rain in many districts of the state on Sunday. Five people died due to lightning incidents in Gorakhpur, Deoria and Sant Kabirnagar.  There has been heavy rain in Purkaji town and rural areas of Muzaffarnagar on Monday morning. The streets were waterlogged due to rain.

Western UP has received 75 millimetres of rain according to the Meteorological Department. In this way, 63.3 mm of rain fell in the entire state till 1 pm on Sunday. According to the forecast, lightning and heavy rainfall is predicted in Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad and surrounding areas on July 1.
