Meta: Zuckerberg in a $200 billion property club; Musk-Bejos too included

New Delhi| Meta Platforms co-founder and chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg has also joined the club of $200 billion net worth, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index. Apart from Zuckerberg, only X CEO Elon Musk and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos are named in this list.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk is the richest person in the world with a personal net worth of $268 billion. At the same time, Jeff Bezos is the second richest person in the world with a net worth of $216 billion. Now with a net worth of $200 billion, this special club has been joined by Meta (Facebook) founder Mark Zuckerberg. His wealth has increased by $71 billion in recent times, bringing his net worth beyond $200 billion.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is second only to Mark Zuckerberg in terms of wealth growth. His net worth increased by $61.8 billion. Huang’s net worth now stands at $106 billion. They are number 14 on Bloomberg’s list. Musk’s personal wealth has increased by $38.9 billion this year. At the same time, Bezos’ wealth has increased by $39.3 billion during this period.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the top three richest people in the world are from America and are involved in the technology business. Fourth on the list is Bernard Arnault of France, who has amassed a fortune of $183 billion. However, his wealth has fallen by $24 billion so far in 2024.
Larry Ellison, Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer, Larry Page, Warren Buffett and Sergey Brin are on the top 10 list. Earlier this year, the only person with a net worth of $200 billion was LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault. Shares in his luxury group have fallen by nearly 16% this year, however, reducing his estimated wealth by $30 billion and dropping to $177 billion.
Based on a July 2024 filing, most of Zuckerberg’s wealth came from a nearly 13% stake in Meta, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Meta, which is the parent company of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, generated $134.9 billion in revenue in 2023 and has approximately 4 billion monthly users. Mukesh Ambani, India’s richest man, is ranked 12th on the list with a net worth of $113 billion, while Gautam Adani is ranked 15th with a personal fortune of $105 billion.
