Make this ‘Spicy Samosas’ at home as delicious snack

New Delhi| Samosa is a very famous salty snack, which people love to eat. Just thinking about hot samosa and sweet and sour chutney makes the mouth water. Samosa is very much liked in North India. Right now tea and samosa are the perfect snack for the rainy season. Now in such a situation, if you do not want to eat samosa bought from outside due to hygiene reasons, then you can make it very easily at home also. Let us know the recipe of making samosa at home.

Ingredients

Flour – 2 cups
Water – as required
Potatoes – 3-4
Peas – 1/2 cup
Onions – 1
Green Peppers – 2
Coriander leaf – 1/4 cup (chopped)
Cumin – 1 tsp
Dry mango powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala – 1/4 teaspoon
Salt – as per taste
Oil – for frying

Method of making samosa
1.Pour flour into a large bowl.
2.Prepare a soft dough by kneading the dough, while slowly adding water.
3.Cover the dough and leave it for 15-20 minutes.

Preparation of potato mixture
1.Boil and peel the potatoes.
2.Mash the potatoes in a bowl.
3.Cut the onion into small cubes.
4.Cut green chillies into small pieces.
5.Heat oil in a pan.
6.Add cumin seeds and temper them.
7.Add onion and green chilli and fry.
8.Mix onion and green chilli mixture in potato mixture.
9.Add coriander leaves, dry mango powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt and mix well.

Making samosas
1.Take some flour and roll it on a chakla.
2.Cut the rolled dough into triangle shapes.
3.Fill the potato mixture at the base of the triangle.
4.Fold and seal the edges of the triangle.
5.Heat oil in a pan.
6.Fry the prepared samosas one by one in oil.
7.Fry until golden.
8.Place the fried samosa on a paper towel and let it absorb extra oil.

Caution

1.The dough should be soft and smooth.
2.The potato mixture should be well spiced.
3.Fry the samosa on low flame, so that it cooks well from inside also.
