dhaba style palak paneer

Ingredients for making Palak Paneer
Spinach: 500 grams (washed and finely chopped)
Cheese: 200 grams (cut into cubes)
Onion: 1 large (finely chopped)
Tomatoes: 2 large (finely chopped)
Garlic: 4-5 cloves (finely chopped)
Ginger: 1 inch piece (finely chopped)
Green pepper: 2-3 (finely chopped)
Oil: 2-3 tablespoons
Cumin: 1/2 teaspoon
Asafoetida: A pinch
Coriander powder: 1 tsp
Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala: 1/2 teaspoon
Salt: As per taste
Yogurt: 1/2 cup
Butter: 1 tbsp
Kasuri fenugreek: 1/2 teaspoon

Method of making Palak Paneer
1. Heat some oil in a pan and fry chopped onion, garlic and ginger until golden. Then add chopped spinach to it and cook for a few minutes. 2. Let it cool and then grind it in a mixer to make a smooth paste.
3. Heat oil in a separate pan and add cumin seeds. When cumin seeds start crackling, add asafoetida in it. Then add chopped tomatoes and green chilies and cook until the tomatoes become soft.
4. Now add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala and salt to this mixture and mix well. Then add spinach paste to it and mix well.
5. Now add curd to this mixture and mix well. Then add cheese cubes to it and cook on low flame.
6. When the vegetable becomes thick, add butter and Kasuri fenugreek and mix. Serve with hot roti or rice.

Special tips
1. You can also add cream or cream to Palak Paneer to make it even more delicious.
2. You can also serve Palak Paneer with hot paratha or naan.
3. To make this dish more tasty, you can also add cashew or almond paste to it.
