Prayagraj| Crores of devotees and tourists from every corner of the world are expected to reach Kumbh city in the Mahakumbh being organized in Prayagraj. To make this grand event of Kumbh memorable, the city’s roads, intersections, walls along with temples and bridges are also being decorated.
Seeing these preparations, Sangam city will not only appear divine, but the Yogi government has also taken initiative to make its aura supernatural at night. The arrangement of Fasad lighting on many mythological temples and buildings of Prayagraj is part of this preparation.

The religious city Prayagraj is also called the city of temples. The mythological temples here are the center of faith and attraction for the devotees and tourists coming to Mahakumbh from India and abroad. In Mahakumbh, the Yogi government of the state is giving them a new form.

Prayagraj’s Regional Tourism Officer Aparajita Singh says that this time Fasad lighting work is being done in five mythological temples of the district. The temples that have been selected for this include Maa Alop Shankari Devi Temple, Sri Shankar Vimana Mandapam Temple, Sri Hanumant Niketan Temple of Civil Lines, Shringi Rishi Temple of Shringverpur Dham and Nagavasuki Temple. Apart from this, there will also be trap lighting work in the fort and Shastri bridge situated on the banks of Yamuna. For this, administrative approval has been received for an amount of Rs 18.94 crore.

Fasad lighting is completely different from normal lighting. It is used to highlight the architectural beauty of a building after sunset. While in general lighting it is important to illuminate the structure, in fasad lighting the building or structure has to be illuminated in an artistic style, making it a center of attraction for tourists as well.

There can be many ways to highlight the beauty of a building or structure at night in a beautiful way. This method depends on the structure to illuminate. Spotlight, flood light, landscape spotlight, recessed down light, track light, linear light and panel light will be used in this.

According to the Regional Tourism Officer, devotees and tourists coming to Mahakumbh will be able to see this decorated and grand form of these temples at night. This will promote night tourism.
