Lucknow| Yogi government is continuously tightening the noose on corruption under ‘Zero Tolerance Policy’. Besides, strict action is also being taken against the officers who are negligent in their work. Under this, the Yogi government has instructed the investigating officers of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department to clarify the reports of the officers and employees coming under the ambit of investigation.

He has directed officials not to mention the word ‘partially substantiated allegations’ in the investigation report. The CM directed to use clear words like ‘the allegation was true’ or ‘found baseless’ in the investigation report so that action can be taken against the guilty officer and employee. CM has given instructions to take strict action against the designated investigating officer who does not do so.

CM Yogi recently reviewed the Irrigation and Water Department. During this, the officers informed about the report to be instituted by the designated investigating officer regarding the departmental and disciplinary action to be taken against negligent departmental officers and employees. He pointed out that the word ‘partially certified’ was used by the officer named in the investigation report.

He told CM Yogi that due to lack of clear allegations in the investigation report, there is often difficulty in taking action. The CM instructed the officers named in this investigation report not to use the word ‘partially certified’ in the investigation report.

He said that the designated investigating officer is trying to save the culprit by using this word, which will not be tolerated. At the same time, no such word is mentioned in the departmental rules. CM said that from now on, if any investigating officer uses this word in his report, strict action will be taken against him.

In the meeting, the CM directed the officers to clearly mention ‘the allegation found proved’ or ‘found baseless’ in the investigation report so that action can be taken against the negligent officer and employee.

There has been a stir in the department due to the displeasure of CM Yogi. On this, the government has immediately issued a GO to the department and instructed it to strictly follow the instructions. With this step of CM Yogi, the action pending against the guilty officers and employees through technical words for many years will now be expedited.
