Lucknow Metro Marks 78th Independence Day with ‘Veer Gatha

The Hazratganj Metro Station of Lucknow metro was transformed into a grand stage for ‘Veer Gatha,’ a momentous event celebrating the 78th Independence Day with unparalleled enthusiasm and patriotism.

Decorated army officers Lt Col Varun Kumar Singh, Col Varun Bajpayee, and Col Ajay Patial and Major Dr. Manmeet Kaur Sodhi graced the occasion with their presence, sharing their profound experiences of courage and valor from the battlefield. Their engaging accounts provided the audience with a deep and personal understanding of the sacrifices made for freedom and national sovereignty.

The prestigious event was attended by Director Operations/UPMRC Shri Prashant Mishra, officials of UPMRC, NCC Cadets of Navyug Kanya Mahavidyalaya and students of Allenhouse Public School. Students from Allenhouse School delivered captivating cultural performances which included a skit and a group song. The event proved to be a heartfelt tribute to our nation’s heroes and a celebration of the freedom they have secured for all. A special train ride was also organised for the NCC Cadets with tricolour decoration, where the Cadets sang their hearts out to patriotic songs in the moving metro.
