Kargil Vijay Diwas- PM Modi visits Ladakh, pays tribute to the martyred soldiers

Ladakh| India is celebrating the silver jubilee of Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26 July. On this day, 25 years ago, the Indian Army, on the strength of its bravery and courage, had driven out the Pakistani Army and its infiltrators who entered India. On this occasion, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also reached Kargil War Memorial in Ladakh on Friday to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers. Apart from this, PM Modi will also interact with the wives of the martyred soldiers in the Kargil war.
PM Modi will also inaugurate the work of Shinkun La Tunnel Project during his visit to Ladakh. According to the information given by the Prime Minister’s Office, this tunnel project will be important to improve connectivity with Leh. It will provide all-weather connectivity in Leh. Shinkun La will be the highest tunnel in the world once the work is completed.
