Lucknow| The current festive season has so far seen a 20 per cent year-on-year increase in the number of jobs in the logistics, operations, e-commerce and hospitality sectors. A total of 2.16 lakh job opportunities were recorded during this period. This year’s festive season is especially important for businesses looking to find their place again after the slowdown in consumer spending, professional networking platform Apna.co said. In addition, the expansion of the quick (quick) commerce industry delivering goods quickly also contributed to recruitment.

Expecting a 20-25 per cent jump in consumer demand: This year is important for our employer partners, who have expected a 20-25 per cent increase in consumer demand, said Nirman Parikh, founder and CEO of Apna Dot Co. The retail and e-commerce sector has made 18,000 recruitments, he said. The hospitality sector has 14,000 jobs for restaurant manager, front office staff and administrative positions.

Jobs in the logistics and operations sector have grown 70 per cent year-on-year in the festive season. Retail and e-commerce have registered a growth of 30 per cent. Job opportunities in the restaurant and hospitality sector have grown by 25 per cent. More than 30,000 positions are vacant for various positions in companies such as Rapido, Delhivery, E-Cart and Shiprocket.
