India at the forefront in having advanced knowledge about AI

New Delhi| Most of the knowledge workers in India use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and almost half of them have advanced knowledge about AI. A latest report on Wednesday reported that 46 percent of the Indian knowledge workers surveyed are advanced users of AI. According to a report by Atlassian, global leader in team collaboration and productivity software, India remains ahead of the US, Germany, France and Australia in terms of advanced AI.

According to the report, after India, 34 percent of American knowledge workers have knowledge of advanced AI, while Germany’s share in this matter is 32 percent. 26 percent of France’s knowledge workers have knowledge of advanced AI, while only 23 percent of Australia’s knowledge workers are advanced users of AI.

Four stages for AI collaboration were kept in the survey, which ranged from Basic Adoption Simple Tool Stage 1 to Advanced Use Strategic Partner and Decision Making Advisor Stage 4. Indian knowledge workers are experiencing significant productivity gains regarding AI adoption.

In India, people using AI as a simple tool (Stage 1) save an average of 104 minutes a day, compared to the global average of around 45 minutes, the report said. The same strategy increases with Stage 4 to 127 minutes a day, equivalent to more than one additional workday each week. “To harness the full potential of AI, it is not enough for companies to simply install AI tools”, said Jamil Valiani, head of product (AI) at Atlassian. They also have to give their employees the opportunity to experiment”

“Teams should feel encouraged and empowered to integrate AI into their work as a Stragic partner”, Valiani said. According to the report, as AI becomes better used, employee benefits start increasing. The report said 92 people with stages 3 and 4 believe the time they took to learn AI was actually rewarding.

According to the survey, 96 percent of advanced users see improvements in the quality of work through co-creation with AI. “Indian organizations that promote experimentation allow employees to use AI freely without fear of failure see better results”, the report said. 87 percent of Advance AI users see the environment supporting innovation and experimentation with AI tools as the key factor for their leadership
