Half of American unicorn founders foreign, 90 Indians the most among 1078 people running 500 startups

New Delhi| People of Indian origin are everywhere in America. Talking about the startup sector, most of the people of foreign origin setting up unicorn startups in America are Indians. This revelation has come to light in the latest list.

In fact, there are about 500 unicorn startups in the U.S. and the number of founders and co-founders is 1,078. About half of these are foreigners. Among these founders and co-founders, people of Indian origin number 90. The list giving this information under the Venture Capital Initiative has been prepared by Ilya Strebulaev, Professor at Stanford Graduate School of Business. According to the new list, about 90 of the founders and co-founders of American unicorn startups have been born in India. This is followed by Israel, where 52 people born are among those who set up unicorn startups in the US. Canada is third after India and Israel, where startups created by 52 people born have achieved unicorn status in the US. It is followed by Britain (31), China (27), Germany (18) and France (17).

Listed by continents, India (90) leads Asia. This is followed by Israel (52), China (27) and Taiwan (12). At the same time, the highest number of American unicorn startup founders have been born in Europe in Britain (31), Germany (18), France (17), Russia (13), Ukraine (12) and Ireland (10).
