Lucknow|Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday participated in a program organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow on the occasion of ‘Vishwakarma Jayanti’. During this, he said that whoever breaks into the security of the state will suffer the consequences, we will do the work of hanging him upside down.

Along with providing toolkits to handicraftsmen and artisans under Vishwakarma Shram Samman and ODOP, loans worth Rs 50,000 crore were distributed to MSME units.

During this time, on the UP International Trade Show 2024 to be held in Greater Noida, CM Yogi termed UP’s potential as a medium with a global platform and gave many suggestions to further promote MSME culture in the state. Besides, he also talked about providing interest free loans to 10 lakh youth in the next 10 years to motivate them for self-employment in the state.

It is important for me that the schemes launched under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi are becoming a medium to benefit lakhs of people as well as increase income. Traditional products were earlier on the verge of closure in the state, people were migrating. When the handicraftsman himself is in trouble then where will employment be generated from. Due to riots and government delay, they had no option but to migrate. When our government was formed, we formed a committee to discuss what traditional products and industries are and the work of supporting them was done.

CM Yogi said that today neither the rioters nor the riots are known. Today common citizens are safe. We have to recognise that security is the first requirement of the future. It is our priority to celebrate festivals and all programs safely. Earlier governments were limited to plunder and feed themselves. Due to this, Uttar Pradesh faced an identity crisis. Farmers committed suicide, youth migrated, the poor starved, entrepreneurs and daughters pleaded for protection, such a scene was seen. But, today the respect of Uttar Pradesh and the people of the state has increased.

He further said that the youth of UP who earlier used to run for employment, are today getting opportunities in their own district. Bankers also have a big role in this. UP’s money is being spent for the development of UP and employment of youth. If any enterprise is set up under ODOP, NOC is not required for 1,000 days. We made arrangements that whatever such industries are set up, they should register with MSME and will be given a security insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh. A new scheme is going to come in the form of young entrepreneurs. Loans of Rs 5 lakh will be provided in the first phase and Rs 10 lakh in the second phase. Under this scheme, the way will be paved to motivate a total of 10 lakh youth for self-employment.
