Global Capacity Centre: Up to 4.5 lakh jobs to be found this year; 1 million new jobs expected to be created in the next 6 years

New Delhi| The global capacity centers, that is, the GCC, are expected to create 4.25-4.5 million new jobs this year. In the next six years, it could rise to well over 1 million. In this, 35 percent of the companies have set a target of increasing the number of employees by 50-100 percent.
According to NLB Services report, India has emerged as a top GCC destination due to its huge skilled workforce and supportive policies. The sector is expected to employ 3.3 million professionals by 2030. GCC is set to increase the demand for freshers in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Chennai. Preparing young people for the next generation of explorers 42 per cent of GCCs are likely to increase their workforce with a significant increase of 50 per cent by calendar year 2030.
The number of GCC centers is expected to exceed 2100 by 2030
More than 61 percent of GCCs from Indian companies forecast an increase in female hires of more than 50 percent by 2030. This is seven percent more than this year. India’s position as a global GCC hub is continuously strengthening. The number of centers is expected to exceed 2,100 by 2030, bringing the market size closer to $100 billion.
Most needed in financial services
Appointments in sectors like technology, finance, manufacturing are increasing in India’s GCC. Financial services will need the most, 79 per cent. Marketing and digital advertising (73 per cent) will also be a priority, as companies push for a digital approach. The introduction of the national framework in the FY2026 budget will boost GCC growth in second – and third-tier cities.
