“Fun Ka Sports Champion” Kicks Off at Fun Republic Mall

Lucknow: Fun Republic Mall, the most loved shopping destination in Lucknow, has launched a special summer celebration for city residents, promising complete entertainment. From June 8 to June 22, the mall is hosting a fun-filled event called “Fun Ka Sports Champion” for youth and children. The event was inaugurated by Priyanka Shailee Mishra, former international women’s cricket player and current Chairperson of the Senior Women’s Selection Committee of UPCA, as well as President of the Lucknow Women’s Wing.
From June 8 to 22, a wide variety of competitions, fun activities, games, and quizzes will be held daily at the mall. From June 9 to 12, the country’s most loved sport, cricket, will be played with participation from school teams, college teams, and cricket clubs. Following that, from June 13 to 15, there will be basketball tournaments. On June 16 and 17, gymnastics and weightlifting events will be held, followed by chess on June 18. On June 19 and 20, badminton and table tennis will take center stage. On June 21, celebrated as International Yoga Day, the mall will transform into a yoga hub. This is the first-ever sports championship of this scale to be hosted in a mall in Lucknow, featuring such a wide range of sports under one roof.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashwani Singh, General Manager of Fun Republic Mall, said, “Fun Ka Sports Champion is a unique event that offers a platform for players from across Lucknow to showcase their talents. From June 8 to 22, the mall will host daily games, quizzes, workshops, and fun competitions. All that Lucknowites need to do is show up and leave the entertainment to us.” Winners across all sports categories will be awarded trophies and certificates. Visitors can enjoy shopping while also participating in different sports over these 15 days.
