Finance Minister Sitharaman to present Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation bill in the Lok Sabha on Monday
New Delhi- Parliament is scheduled to meet on Monday for the ongoing budget session. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will introduce the Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill, 2024 in the Lok Sabha. “Nirmala Sitharaman will grant permission to authorize payment and appropriation of certain amounts from the Consolidated Fund of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for services for the financial year 2024-25, as well as to introduce the bill and carry it forward”, the list of businesses said.
Purpose of Jammu and Kashmir Bill
The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriations (No. 3) Bill, 2024 is intended to authorize the payment and appropriation of certain amounts from the Consolidated Fund of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for services for the financial year 2024-25.
Discussion on Union Budget to continue in both the houses
According to the agenda released by the Finance Minister, the discussion on the Union Budget presented on July 23 will continue in both Houses of Parliament on Monday. At the same time, the discussion on Jammu and Kashmir’s Budget 2024-25 presented on Tuesday will also continue.
Union Minister Defense Khadse to give a statement in the Lok Sabha
Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Youth and Sports Defense Nikhil Khadse will make a statement in the Lok Sabha regarding the status of implementation of the recommendations contained in the 327th Report of the Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports.
