Congress fails to project United Front leading to debacle

Chandigarh: With trends of Haryana assembly elections almost clear, once again the BJP government has returned to the state. BJP has got 50 seats in the trends, while Congress has 35 seats and others have five seats. However, the situation will be clear after the election results, but if the election results remain the same, then Congress will get a big setback.

In fact, even before the elections, there was hope for a good performance of the Congress in Haryana, but the factionalism of Congress leaders there has given a big setback to the party. One of the most prominent reasons behind the poor performance of the Congress is the differences between the party’s face in the state, former CM Bhupendra Hooda and former Union Minister Kumari Selja.

Attempts were also made by party leader Rahul Gandhi to reduce the distance between the two leaders on the stage, but it did not happen. This is the reason why news of the rift between the two leaders has often made headlines. Bhupendra Hooda is a prominent Jat leader of Haryana and for the past many years he has been the main face of Congress in Haryana. In the last assembly elections too, Bhupendra Hooda’s face was ahead, but Congress had to face defeat in that. Hooda’s dominance was also seen in Congress’ ticket distribution, while very few people of Kumari Selja got tickets in the elections. It is being said that this situation also became the reason for Congress’s defeat there.
