Lucknow|  Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday paid floral tributes at the statue of Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant.
During this, CM Yogi said that the work done by Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant for undivided Uttar Pradesh and for the internal security of the country will always be remembered. After garlanding the statue of Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant, he said that his tenure as the first Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Union Home Minister was very successful.

Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant was a great freedom fighter. On the call of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, he left his good practice and joined the freedom movement. He participated in the movement, albeit the torture of jail, but never deviated from that movement of freedom. This was the reason that due to the contribution and continuous struggles made by him during the freedom movement, he was given the responsibility of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the country’s largest state in independent India.

He served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh till 1954. To take the state forward at that time, to provide basic facilities to the public, a detailed action plan was prepared to provide education, health and infrastructure as per the time on which our Uttar Pradesh of today is based. CM Yogi further said that in 1954-55, Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant was appointed as the Home Minister of the country. During this period, his efforts to ensure that the official language is Hindi are extremely incredible. The reforms done by him in the revenue sector still provide justice to a poor person.
