New Delhi|With the address of President Draupadi Murmu, the budget session of Parliament has started from today. President Draupadi Murmu, while addressing the joint session of Parliament, enumerated the works of the Central Government. She also mentioned bills like ‘One Nation, One Election’ and Waqf Amendment.

President Murmu referred to ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. She said that the mantra of my government is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas and this is what we are working on. The government is moving forward in the spirit of nation first. After the removal of Article 370, there has been an environment of development in Jammu and Kashmir.

She mentioned the increased budget for the country’s infrastructure. Addressing the joint session of Parliament, President Murmu said, “Our only goal is to become a developed India”. Infrastructure budgets have grown fivefold in 10 years.”

The President also highlighted technology in India. He said, “Developed countries of the world are also impressed by the success of India’s UPI transaction system”. India is a global player of technology, there are services like Digi Locker and UPI.

She also talked about Artificial Intelligence. She said, “Today our youth are bringing glory to the country in every field from startups to sports and space”. India is showing the way to the world in the field of Artificial Intelligence and technology adoption. India leads in digital technology, startups, innovation.”

Praising the steps taken by the government to defeat poverty in India the President said, “We are making efforts to ensure that the poor get a dignified life”. The 25 crore people of the country are today moving forward in their lives by defeating poverty. We created the New Middle Class platform that’s filling with new energy.”

The President also appreciated the preparations for the formation of the Eighth Pay Commission. She said that it has been decided to constitute the Eighth Pay Commission to honor government employees. It has been decided to give 50 per cent fixed pension under the Unified Pension of lakhs of central government employees.

The President also spoke on the increasing paper leak cases in the country. The President said that a new law came into force to stop paper leaks. Scheme launched to assist students in higher education. They will also be given internships in 500 companies.

She described cyber security as a big challenge for national security. President Murmu said, “My government is continuously working towards ensuring efficiency in cyber security”. Digital fraud, cybercrime and deepfakes are serious challenges to social, financial and national security”

He said, “It is a matter of great pride that today a large number of women are flying fighter aircraft, joining the police and also leading corporates in the country”.
