Brij Bhushan Singh: Petition against FIR, charge sheet and framing of charges cancelled by Delhi HC
New Delhi| Brij Bhushan Singh, accused in the case of alleged sexual harassment of female wrestlers, has received a big blow from the Delhi High Court. Brij Bhushan had filed a petition seeking quashing of the FIR, charge sheet filed against him and the order framing of charges by the trial court. However, he has not received any relief from the Delhi High Court at present. Delhi High Court has asked Brij Bhushan’s lawyer to submit a short note in the case to the court. During the hearing on the petition, Delhi Police raised questions on the maintainability of Brij Bhushan’s petition. The next hearing in the case will be held on September 26 in the Delhi High Court. Delhi High Court asked Brij Bhushan why he came to the court after the charge was framed in the case.
Saying this his petition was rejected. Brij Bhushan’s lawyer said that there are six complainants in the case, there is a hidden agenda behind filing the FIR. The lawyer said that all the incidents have happened at different places at different times. This is just a conspiracy. However, the lawyer’s arguments did not work in the court and the hearing against him will continue.
