Atishi to be the new Chief Minister of Delhi, Kejriwal to resign in the evening

New Delhi| Rapidly changing political developments in Delhi, Atishi has been appointed as the new Chief Minister of Delhi. This decision was taken in the legislature party meeting of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), in which all the MLAs unanimously approved Atishi’s name.
After this important change, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will formally resign from his post this evening. This decision is seeing a big change in the politics of Delhi, where Atishi, who is close to Kejriwal and a senior party leader, will now take over the responsibility of Chief Minister of Delhi.
Atishi, known for her remarkable role in the fields of education and social welfare, will now lead Delhi. She has already played an important role in the Kejriwal government and has helped Delhi’s education model gain global recognition.

Atishi was a key member of the committee that prepared AAP’s manifesto for the 2013 assembly elections. She has been playing an important role in expanding the Aam Aadmi Party.Atishi is currently the second most powerful minister in the government after Delhi government chief Kejriwal. At present he has five departments in the Delhi Cabinet. These include women and child development, education, tourism, art, culture and language, public works department and electricity.
