Amul clarification on Tirupati laddu dispute, said – ‘We never supplied’

New Delhi| There is currently a controversy going on across the country regarding the mixing of animal fat and waste material in Prasadam ‘Laddu’ of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). Politics has heated up after Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu accused Tirupati’s laddu of using animal fat. Meanwhile, through social media posts, allegations are being made of Amul ghee being mixed in the laddus of Tirupati temple.

Amul company has issued a statement regarding this allegation. It has confirmed on social media X that the company has never supplied ghee to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). “This is in the context of some social media posts which mentioned that Amul Ghee was being supplied to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD)”, We would like to inform that we have never supplied Amul Ghee to TTD.”

Let us tell you that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday (September 20) has sought a report from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on the presence of animal fat in Tirumala laddu allegedly during the YSR Congress Party rule. Taking the issue seriously, Chief Minister Naidu directed the TTD executive officer to submit a comprehensive report by evening. CM Naidu held a meeting with ministers and top officials on the issue of quality of Tirumala laddus. The Chief Minister said that the government will take steps to protect the sanctity of Tirumala in consultation with religious heads. He assured to take steps to protect the traditions of the temple and the faith of the devotees.
