Davos: India got the right leader at the right time in the form of PM Modi, said Chandrababu Naidu

India has got the right leader at the right time in the form of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he will take the country to the top on various economic and social parameters. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said this in the Swiss city of Davos.

‘‘ Indians are the most globally accepted community and this will continue in the future”, he said at an event organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.’’

Naidu said on the occasion of the launch of an economic taskforce on ‘Swarna Andhra by 2047’ that his state has immense potential for development and is moving on the right path. He said, ‘‘ in the form of Prime Minister Narendra Modi we have got the right leader at the right time. He has absolute clarity about reforms and policy framework for the country.’’ Naidu said, ‘‘I am confident that India will become a developed nation by 2047 and will reach first or second position in various fields.’’

He advocated moving forward from the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to the P4 model i.e. ‘public, private and public participation’ to tackle issues like poverty and hunger and improve the lives of all. Naidu also announced the establishment of a Global Leadership Center on Competition in partnership with CII.

Tata Group chief N. present at the event. Chandrasekaran said it was an honor for him to be the co-chair of the Economic Taskforce on ‘Swarna Andhra by 2047’. He also praised Naidu’s economic foresight as Chief Minister of the then unified Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana and Andhra Pradesh). ‘‘we are developing this plan for 2047, but at the same time there will be plans to be implemented urgently to move towards it, he said.’’

Chandrasekaran said, ‘‘The scheme will have many components, initially special attention will be given to some areas while we will target other areas also.’’ He said, ‘‘We will also establish global level educational institutions.’’
