Center’s gift to its employees; Permission to travel in Tejas, Vande Bharat and Humsafar trains under LTC

New Delhi| The central government has given a big gift to its employees. Now central employees will also be able to travel by Tejas, Vande Bharat and Humsafar trains under Leave Travel Concession (LTC). This step has been taken after the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) received several suggestions from various offices/individuals regarding the acceptability of various premium trains under LTC.

DoPT said in the order issued on Tuesday, ‘‘This department, in consultation with the Department of Expenditure, considered the matter and took this decision. According to this decision, apart from the existing Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains, now travel will be allowed in Tejas Express, Vande Bharat Express and Humsafar Express trains under LTC as per the eligibility of government employees.’’

Eligible Central Government employees, on availing LTC, get back the expenses incurred by them on tickets for travel in addition to paid leave.
