Tata Motors launches its first AMT truck in Saudi Arabia

New Delhi| Tata Motors launched its first Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) truck in Saudi Arabia, the Tata Prima 4440.S announced the launch of AMT.

Tata Motors also showcased five of its high-performance products at the Heavy Equipment and Trucks (HEAT) show in Dammam, which are designed and engineered to suit the needs of the country and cater to a variety of applications.

According to a statement from the company, this truck with fuel saving and durable automated transmission is equipped with many smart features like load-based speed control system, system down protection system and auto start-stop system for better fuel efficiency.

It has a Euro-V compliant 8.9-litre Cummins engine producing 400 bhp and 1,700 Nm of torque, to ensure enough power is available to handle the heaviest loads, toughest terrain and steepest slopes.

The statement said the modern cabin, with a pneumatically suspended seat and a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, enhances the comfort and convenience of the driver, thereby increasing productivity.
