US Elections: Which direction will America go? Harris and Trump’s stance on key issues

Washington| American voters will give their verdict regarding the presidential election on November 5. One of Democrat Kamala Harris or Republican Donald Trump will lead the country for the next four years and during this time will decide the government’s policy on major issues.
Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump present two completely different visions for the country. From economic issues related to the common man’s pocket and reproductive rights to foreign policy, the views of both the leaders are quite different from each other.
In the election campaign, both the leaders have presented their views to the people through speeches, advertisements and media interviews. While many of Trump’s promises raise legal questions, some of Harris’ plans will likely require Democratic control of Congress.
The ‘future of the country’ is at stake in 2024, according to both Harris and Trump. Harris has argued that the country’s constitution is under threat due to Trump’s fascist tendencies and disregard for the rule of law. On the other hand, Trump argues that due to Harris’ radical leftist agenda, there will be no country left for Americans. Harris says Trump will impose a national abortion ban if re-elected, ending women’s right to reproductive freedom.
The Vice President has also promised a package of economic policies to help the middle class, crack down on price rise and encourage housing. The former president’s election agenda is based on a promise to improve the economy by ending inflation, which has been the top issue in this election. The Harris campaign is weakest on these issues. He has also vowed to end illegal immigration (especially through the southern border).
The former President has also threatened a tariff hike to prevent American manufacturers from starting their business abroad.
