Yogi government to organize ‘Kumbh Summit’ in all the divisions of UP

Lucknow| Regarding the preparations for Mahakumbh-2025, the Yogi government has decided to organize ‘Kumbh Summit’ in all the 18 divisions of the state. This summit will be launched on 8 October from Lucknow and will conclude on 14 December in Prayagraj. Along with artists from Uttar Pradesh, school children will also get an opportunity to participate in this event.
Yogi government’s Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, while talking to journalists at Lok Bhavan on Tuesday, said that many cultural programs will be organized during this summit. These include Kumbh Abhinandan Road Show, Child-Youth Kumbh, Art-Culture Kumbh, Kavi Kumbh and Bhakti Kumbh. It will start from GPO Park, Lucknow on 8th October at 4 pm. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna will inaugurate the road show. This road show will be taken out from GPO Park to Gomti Beach via Secunderabad route and will conclude at 6 pm at Marine Drive, 1090 Chowk.

Responsibilities have been fixed at the divisional level for the successful organization of Kumbh Summit. The responsibility of painting and photography competitions has been entrusted to the Uttar Pradesh State Lalit Kala Academy, while competitions in classical singing, playing and dance will be organized by the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Academy. Exhibitions based on cultural and spiritual heritage will be organized by the Department of Archeology, Directorate of State Archives and Museums. Special exhibitions, tours and shows related to Kumbh will be organized through tourism, charitable work, information and public relations. An open quiz will be organized by the Directorate of Archeology based on the importance of cultural-spiritual heritage and tradition of Kumbh etc.
The Culture Minister said that coordination is being done with the Secondary and Higher Education Department to connect school children with the ideals and traditions of Kumbh through universities, degree colleges and other educational institutions. The event will also see the participation of 12,600 registered artists, this will allow them to showcase their talents.

Sites have been proposed for the divisional level Kumbh Summit. The event will take place on 8-9 October at Marine Drive, 1090 intersection in Lucknow mandal. On 11-12 October, the summit of Jhansi Mandal will be held at Bundelkhand University. Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi Mandal on 14-15 October, Kumbh Summit in Chitrakoot Mandal on 17-18 October will be held at Shri Rambhadracharya University. Chhatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj University in Kanpur Mandal on 21-22 October, this summit in Ayodhya Mandal on 24-25 Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Kumbh Summit is proposed in Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut on 5th and 6th November. On 8-9 November, Mangalayatan University of Aligarh, on 11-12 November, Dayalbagh Institute of Agra, on 14-15 November, Kumbh Summit will be held at Deendayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University.
Also, Durga Ji Postgraduate College of Azamgarh Mandal on 18-19 November, Maa Shakambhari University Saharanpur Mandal on 21-22 November, Tirthankar Mahavir University Moradabad on 25-26 November, Ruhilkhand University of Bareilly on 28-29 November, Kumbh Summit of Mirzapur Mandal on 2-3 December will be held at Government Engineering College Sonbhadra. On 5-6 December, Kumbh Summit of Devipatan Mandal will be held at Adishakti Maa Pateshwari Public School, on 9-10 December, Kumbh Summit of Basti Mandal will be held at Sant Kabir Academy Maghar, Sant Kabir Nagar. 13-14 December will conclude at the North Central Region Cultural Centre in Prayagraj.
Coordinators have also been appointed for the Kumbh Summit to be organized at the divisional level. Coordinators have been selected for various divisions, who will take charge of the event.
