More than 2.25 crore farmers of UP will benefit from the 18th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi

New Delhi| Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 18th installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi at a special event held in Washim, Maharashtra on Saturday. With this, funds worth Rs 4,985.49 crore will be transferred to the accounts of 2,25,91,884 farmers of Uttar Pradesh. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has played an important role in strengthening the economic condition of farmers. With the coordination of the Central and State Government, farmers of Uttar Pradesh are continuously taking advantage of this scheme, this is increasing their income and bringing stability in the agriculture sector.

In Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government has made tremendous progress by promptly implementing the schemes of the Central Government. State Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi said that from the beginning of the scheme in the state till July this year, a total of Rs 74,492.71 crore has been paid to the farmers so far through all the 17 installments. During this period, 2.76 crore farmers of the state have received the benefit of this scheme at least once.

The 17th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi was distributed by the Prime Minister during an event held in Varanasi on 18 June 2024. An amount of Rs 4,831.10 crore was distributed to 2,14,55,237 farmers during this period. Along with this, an amount of Rs 46.70 crore was given to the farmers whose installments were stopped due to some reason after their data correction.

About 9.51 crore farmers across the country will benefit from the 18th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Funds amounting to Rs 20,552 crore will be transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana was launched in December 2018 with the aim of increasing the income of farmers. Under this scheme, farmers are given an installment of Rs 2,000 every four months as financial assistance. This gives them an aid of 6,000 rupees in a year.
